It’s been quite a week here in the Texas hill country. First, I spoke at Pat O’Bryan‘s Unseminar 4 with Dr. Joe Vitale, Craig Perrine, Nathan Anderson, Armando Montelongo and Joel Therien.
The attendees learned all about how to create products, build a mailing list, relationship marketing and how to form a mastermind group.
There was an interactive element to this seminar that was unlike most events I’ve attended. Craig Perrine dubbed it “Seminar 2.0” because it had that user-generated content feel to it.

After my talk on Masterminds, I got in on the fun by polling the audience to see what they’d like me to speak about on Saturday. Then I created a brand-new presentation based on their requests.

As always, Pat had a very diverse group of attendees ranging from complete newbies to experienced marketers as well successful business people looking to learn more about web marketing.
Armando Montelongo (pictured below with Pat), host of A&E’s “Flip That House” San Antonio was a surprise guest. He told a hilarious story about how he landed his TV show. Armando’s buddy, Joel Therien, of Kiosk web hosting gave an impromptu talk on web hosting as well as how to build relationships online.

On Friday, I spoke on how to form a mastermind group and on Saturday and Sunday morning, formed the attendees into groups of four to five members. So everyone left the seminar with a working mastermind group in place.

On Saturday, I talked about finding the right niche as well as affiliate marketing and how to do joint ventures.
On Sunday, Joe gave one of his best talks ever on how to attract miracles into your life as well as how to appreciate the miracles that surround you now. Very inspiring talk.
One thing that sets the Unseminar apart from other seminars is what Pat calls “Fun Hall”. After dinner, the seminar room turns into a combination of study hall, party and jam session.

Laptops and Guitars were everywhere. And there were a surprising number of talented pickers and singers in the group. On Friday and Saturday nights, the party went on into the wee hours with many cigars and adult beverages consumed.
At one point, I counted four women smoking cigars out on the deck overlooking Lake Travis while singing along to everything from reggae to rock to country. Not your average seminar.

Pat tells me Unseminar 5 is already in the works. Stay tuned to this space for more details. (Thanks to Pat O’Bryan and Lisa Coltman for pics)
