We kicked off our first full day in Hawaii by having breakfast with Joe & Nerissa at the Sheraton. Excellent meal capped off by delicious coffee. Virtually every restaurant we visited had 100% Kona coffee which was a real treat.

On our way back to the room, Lisa and I discovered these bananas growing right next to our third floor walkway.

With Joe meeting a local TV personality for an interview and Lisa busy finishing the special name tags she created for the seminar, I decided to do a little exploring. I didn’t know it but I was about to get a little lesson in trusting your intuition.

I threw my laptop, a book I was reading and my Ipod in my bag and was about to head out when my little voice told me to take a copy of my own book, Meet & Grow Rich, along.

I always carry a few extra copies to seminars because you never know who you’re going to run into. But not wanting to overpack the bag, I decided not to ignore the voice.

Later on, I ran into Joe and the TV interviewer. Joe introduced me and he wondered if Joe had a copy of any of his books with him. He wanted to scan the cover to show on the screen during the interview.

A perfect opportunity for a plug on television for the book. If only I’d listened to that little voice. He was leaving the hotel so there wasn’t time to run back to the room and grab a copy.

It wasn’t a huge loss but I did learn a lesson. And to drive the point home, little things like this happened throughout our trip. And believe me, I was listening.

After an afternoon spent relaxing on the beach, we made plans to take a group of seven to dinner. Our rental car would only seat five comfortably so Lisa rented one of her favorite toys, a Jeep Wrangler.

Virtually everyone we spoke to in Maui recommended Mama’s Fish House. Mama’s is nestled in a little coconut grove inside an old beach house. While Joe, Nerissa, Mark & Kathy waited for our table, Lisa and I drove over to pick Craig Perrine up at the airport. We made it back just as the food arrived at the table.

I had the Mahimahi stuffed with lobster, crab, Maui onion and baked in a macadamia nut crust. Delicious. You know, I could get used to this place. 🙂
