Unseminar 6 Adventures in San Antonio & Beyond
Unseminar VI is over. If you attended or followed along on Pat O'Bryan's Portable Empire TV, you probably thought Unseminar ended just over a week ago but you'd be wrong. But don't worry, I'll fill you in on what you missed. Craig Perrine and I drove down to San Antonio the day before the official start of the seminar. After checking in at our hotel, we walked over to world famous Mi Tierra for dinner. A few weeks earlier, I'd been contacted by Scot McKay on Twitter. Scot and his lovely wife, Emily, are Internet marketers working in the dating/relationship niche. The ...
Road Trip: World Wellness Albuquerque
After catching up on our sleep on the long drive west, Lisa's Uncle Mike took us to breakfast at the Flying Star Cafe in Albuquerque's Nob Hill district. The Flying Star is a hip coffee house/restaurant with great food, good coffee and free wi-fi. We ended up going back several times. Nob Hill is near the University of New Mexico campus. We drove down Central Avenue and spotted dozens of boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries and an art house cinema. Across the street from the Flying Star, I spotted a place that was a salon cafe. Not sure I'd want ...
What a Rock Star Can Teach You About Internet Marketing
I decided to record today's blog post rather than write it. So consider this my first podcast. Today I've got some stories from my rock & roll days with Humble Pie. There are also lessons here you can apply to Internet marketing or any goals you're trying to reach or just consider it a rock and roll history lesson. So let's take a little trip down memory lane. Be sure and check out the videos below, too. To listen online, use the buttons below to play, pause, rewind and fast forward the presentation. To download this audio to your computer, right-click ...
BooneOakley.com – Is this the future of websites?
The video below, which was created for about $10 and was promoted strictly on Twitter and Facebook, is approaching 1,000,000 views on Youtube. The ad agency, Boone Oakley, used features available in Youtube to create a fully interactive video which is their actual home page. Their video has now been viewed just under a million times. Actually, it's not just a single video, it's multiple videos linked together using annotations, hyperlinks and a few sheets of paper and a black marker pen. The company didn't just create an interactive viral video on YouTube. They went a step further and ...
So, Anything Good on TV?
It's Pat O'Bryan's fault, really. One night we were hanging out at Maui Wowi, a local coffee house after I was a guest on his Ustream broadcast. "You need to get your own TV show", said Pat. At a Siglo IV meeting the other night, he reminded me he's been telling me this for 15 years. I may have taken the job anyway but I definitely had Pat's voice ringing in my ears when the call came... But I'm getting a little ahead of myself. So let me back up a little. It started about six months ago. I'd just lost my Father and ...
Product Review: Twitter Follower Programs: Scam or The Real Deal?
I've been on Twitter now since last summer. My list of followers grew slowly but surely for several months until I got a little more proactive. Along the way, I've come across numerous tools, apps, courses and videos promising to send my number of followers through the roof. A few months ago, I started seeing people tweeting "RT @garymccaffrey has a crazy idea. 19,530 new twitter followers in 30 days? Check it out http://tweetergetter.com/". I knew what to expect but since I knew people would ask me about it, I checked it out. What I found was a free service that ...
